Unbelievers' Blues

Intro - 2 bars

The end of time's a-comin', the way it's been foretold,
Get ready for the real "big bang," I guess we won't grow old.
God's comin' for His Kingdom, don't doubt that it's the truth,
I'd dread to be in one place, in unbelievers' shoes.

God's prophets gave us warnings, how many does it take?
It's easier to kill them. Was that a strong earthquake?
Who is that Roman prince there, peacemaker of the world?
Is he divine or human? The nations round him swirl.

He sure can solve our problems; he stood by Israel
He says he has solutions - to give war a big farewell
World leaders kneel before him, what is on their mind?
Give up sovereignty to him and say it's for mankind.

We're told the prince's efforts, his plan for Mideast peace,
Are reason we should trust in him, he'll sack corrupt police,
Security is tighter than -- I guess it's ever been,
A microchip's your ID, implanted in your skin

Goin' down to the market, buy milk, a loaf of bread
Don't have to carry money, just scan my hand instead,
This chip is most convenient, with lots of info crammed
I feel so safe, the GPS, knows always where I am.

The end of time's a-comin', take heed of God's own Word,
Jesus, Son of God, returns, this time he's not deterred,
He comes to take up in the air, all His beloved sheep,
But unbelievers left behind, will only watch and weep.
