RETURN FROM INTERMISSION
The happy, friendly ushers who helped people to their seats at the beginning of the performance are now replaced by stern, unsmiling marshals in jackboots, uniforms and armbands in the lobby area. They order people to return to their seats after intermission. A supervisor, standing in the highest point of the lobby and impatiently slapping his riding crop against his boots, is irritated with the slow progress and yells at his underlings to move everyone or face the consequences. An “audience member” (an actor) in the lobby who complains is taken into rough custody. Throughout the lobby, the sounds of sirens and security dogs barking are heard in the far background.

Note: The presentation provided here, including script and running order, is a work in progress. As with many works-in-progress, the show is presently over-written. The final version will contain approximately 24 scenes and songs.

The play is ready for stage presentation, and it is free for churches and schools to perform live.

THREE different ways to read the script:

1. In Adobe Acrobat, as a .pdf file:
Act One - click here
Act Two - click here
(Free download of Adobe Reader for Windows XP, click here. Other Windows versions,

2. In Microsoft Word format:
Act One - RIGHT click here, select "Save Target As"
..
Act Two - RIGHT click here, select "Save Target As" ..

Then save each Act in a folder on your computer to read and print.

If you just want to read and not save the play, right click "Open" on each Act, then wait for the message box to come up that asks for a Network Password, but select "Cancel," because you don't need one. (Sometimes it asks for a password, and sometime it doesn't. We have no idea why it does that, and neither does our ISP.) Suggestion: for reading, the .pdf files above are easier.

The song lyrics are not imbedded in the .doc files because MS Word will not accept a target="_blank" link. Lyrics can be viewed by clicking the "Lyrics" link in the left frame.

3. In HTML format:
Use this for Translations by Google. First click on this Translate link for:
Chinese - French - German - Italian - Japanese - Korean - Portugese - Spanish.

Then:
Act One - RIGHT click here, "Copy Shortcut," then "Paste" into "Translate a web page" box
Act Two - RIGHT click here, "Copy Shortcut," then "Paste" into "Translate a web page" box

Copy the URL for the first page into the "Translate a web page" box, and it will automatically translate each succeeding page when you click "next page" at the bottom.

For translations, if you set your Screen Resolution to 800 x 600, it will show 6-7 words of dialogue per line (standard script format). If you set Screen Resolution to 1024 x 768, there will be 10-14 words of dialogue per line.

Encore
A number of pastors from the local community offer an altar call to any who have been encouraged by what they have just witnessed, and who wish to publicly put their faith in Jesus Christ as Son of God, and their only hope for eternal life. As those people walk to the front, the choir and the audience sings several traditional hymns until their friends have returned to their seats. All are led in a final prayer by a local pastor for the salvation these people have accepted.
